Dr. Abakumov is a chiropractor based in Heber City, Utah, specializing in manual treatment, active rehabilitation, and the diagnosis of movement dysfunction. He combines cutting-edge manual techniques with individually tailored exercise programming to help clients move better, feel better, and reach their highest potential.

Before chiropractic, Dr. Abakumov spent seven years working in pediatrics — including sensory integration occupational therapy and behavioral therapy — bringing a uniquely layered understanding of human development and movement to his practice. He holds a degree in Psychology with a focus in behavioral research and earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic in Southern California.

Today, Dr. Abakumov serves as a medical team physiotherapist for the World Surf League, working alongside elite professional surfers on the global stage. His clinical passion lies in working with athletes who demand dynamic, complex movement — surfers, rock climbers, snowboarders, gymnasts, and beyond.

Originally from Sevastopol, Ukraine, on the northwestern shore of the Black Sea, Dr. Abakumov immigrated to Chicago in 1999 and has since built a distinguished career — including a thriving practice in Carlsbad, California — before planting roots in Utah. Outside the clinic, he loves exploring the outdoors with his wife Katie and their three children. His greatest drive is simple: to keep learning, and to share what he discovers with those around him.

Brielle’s path to massage therapy didn’t start in a classroom — it started with a barbell and a back injury. A lifelong athlete who grew up playing hockey and spent years immersed in sport, she was always the person designing workout plans, researching movement, and looking for ways to perform better. When a weightlifting injury sidelined her, she didn’t just want relief — she wanted answers. That pursuit led her to massage school and ignited a deep passion for anatomy, rehabilitation, and helping others truly understand their bodies.

Her treatment philosophy centers on finding the root cause of pain and dysfunction rather than chasing symptoms. Whether it’s a recurring injury, chronic tension, or a movement limitation that won’t resolve, Brielle works to uncover what’s actually driving the problem — so clients can move and feel better for the long term.

She specializes in Sports Massage, Myofascial Release, Lymphatic Massage, Gua Sha, and Cupping, and brings a genuinely athletic perspective to every session. When she’s not in the treatment room, she’s in the gym, studying anatomy, or out exploring Utah’s backyard — which means she understands firsthand what it takes to keep a body performing at its best.

Whether you’re a competitive athlete, an active professional, or simply someone who wants to move better and feel stronger, Brielle’s goal is straightforward: help you get back to doing what you love.
